Gruta de La Paz
The Sanctuary that honours Nuestra Señora de la Paz Miles rises from this impressive natural structure. Thousands of pilgrims visit this site filled with tokens of gratitude each week. Thermal springs rise at the sides of the sanctuary.

Guápulo Sanctuary
Guápulo is a prominent colonial neighborhood that rests along the northeastern side of Quito. Here lies the Sanctuary of Guápulo, the oldest in Ecuador. This area, buried deep in the side of the capital, is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the country.

El Cisne
70 km from Loja, El Cisne has a sanctuary housing the virgin of the same name. This statue, known as the "Churona" was sculpted by Diego de Robles in 1594. The village also has a museum conserving the relics, vestments, sacred ornaments and gifts from the thousands of pilgrims who visit El Cisne every year. It is one of Ecuador's major sanctuaries.
